Our Story
RMDS began as an online community in 2009, during a period when data science was still emerging and artificial intelligence was in its early developmental stage. With the support of leading experts in research methods, statistics, analytics, and machine learning, RMDS rapidly grew into an award-winning global community dedicated to training, collaboration, and solution development—eventually attracting more than 44,000 participants worldwide.
As the community expanded, RMDS recognized an urgent need for a more holistic and scientifically grounded approach to data and AI practice. This led to the formal establishment of RMDS Lab in 2019. Under the leadership of its founder, Dr. Alex Liu, IBM’s former Chief Data Scientist and a trusted advisor to the Harvard Data Science Review, RMDS Lab advanced an ecosystem model and introduced the RM4Es holistic computation framework. These methodologies enabled RMDSai to serve universities, research labs, enterprises, and innovation teams with comprehensive analytical guidance and collaborative intelligence.
Over time, as AI became more powerful, organizations increasingly turned to RMDSai not only for research acceleration and AI-assisted discovery, but also for methodological clarity, data reliability, and transparent evaluation of AI systems. RMDSai evolved naturally—shifting from simply applying AI to research toward helping professionals assess, validate, and trust the AI tools they use.
Today, RMDSai stands at the intersection of methods, data, and AI evaluation, supporting researchers, analysts, educators, and AI practitioners in building systems and insights that are reliable, responsible, and grounded in scientific rigor. Many research organizations now depend on RMDSai for help navigating the fast-changing landscape of AI, ensuring their discovery processes remain efficient, trustworthy, and impactful.
